The Story

Opposing lightness and strength, cold and softness, traditional materials and contemporary design, this luxury lounge chair is an exceptional handmade creation subtly combining the research of comfort and lines purity, in a contradictory perception of power and finesse. The cushioned leather seating seems to stay weightless on the brut marble base, offering a practical shelf as an extension of the shape.

The Craftsmanship

As the creator of the object, the designer has to consider a multitude of constraints, paying particular attention to shapes, volumes, materials to use. The marble carver intervenes here to saw, carve and polish the marble. The saddler takes care of the leather sitting, by skins cutting, cushioning,  and sewing.
