The Story

Crystal originated in 1627, in England; it is a glass composed of lead oxide. Gloss, luster and its individual sound become the instantly recognizable features of sculptures in this noble material. Our Master crystal ware craftsman was a crystal carver for several generations; he pushed to the limits the mastery of ancestral techniques used for cutting, hammering and engraving crystal to sublimate the infinite reflections of his creations.

The Craftsmanship

A wooden mold is first made around which the drawn shape is mouth blown. Master crystal maker sketches the main lines on the raw material structuring the shape, then works on different types of wheels. The creation is then refined and crystal dug deeper and deeper to its breaking point limit in order to bring out the brightest highlights. The creation is finally polished on wheels, felt or in an acid bath before being mounted with its ornaments, legs or handles.
